Agrivoltaic systems have shown several advantages such as increased crop yield and water savings compared to conventional agriculture. However, the shadings from the photovoltaic system could affect certain types of crops. Therefore, a shading analysis is vital to understand how the photovoltaic system influence the crops to increase the crop yield leading to higher revenues. By understanding the shading percentages dependent on latitude, panel density, row distance, height, control strategy and agrivoltaic system over Sweden would simplify crop yield calculation and decision making on optimal agrivoltaic systems dependent on location.
In this thesis, the aim is to do shading simulations with PVsyst at different latitudes in Sweden and analyze how the shading varies depending on the photovoltaic system, latitude, row distance, control strategy, panel density and height using the state of art photovoltaic control systems for agrivoltaic.
It can be adapted for 15HP and 30 HP.
