Photovoltaic system yield evaluation in Sweden

SHORT BACKGROUND
In calculation of the economy for PV plants, the estimated yearly system specific energy yield kWh/kW is a very important parameter. The system yield can be estimated with different kinds of simulation software. However, in reality different factors can affect the yield of a PV plant, of which shading is one of the most important in addition to varied solar irradiation in different years. Therefore, it is of very high interest to compare system data from real plants from different locations in Sweden with values calculated with different software tools.

TASK
The goal of the project is to evaluate PV system yield from plants in Sweden for two different years and compare those data with simulated data.

Tasks
• Literature study on PV system yield analysis.
• Make evaluation of PV system yield in Sweden, including
o Collecting data from years 2017 and 2018 from PV plants in Sweden from different sources, such as published data on open source on the web.
o Compare collected data with simulations done with the free web based tool PVGIS and the commercial software PVSYST.
• Write report. Using MDH template.
• Oral presentation at MDH at the end of the work.
